Art Femmes DC was a community art collective I founded in Washington, DC as a space for artists to gather, share work, and engage the creative process in community. Though the collective is no longer active, it remains a meaningful part of my practice and continues to reflect my interest in artistic dialogue, collaboration, and the shared experience of making.
AFDC prioritized the importance of play in the creation process rather than focusing solely on the end product.

Following the method of art therapy groups, each meeting explored a different aspect of the human experience using a suggested theme or prompt. Whether or not a member decided to use these was up to them, the goal was simply to create.
